Nifty knitters are being asked to knock up hundreds of cute Christmas cosies, as part of a Wetherby in Support of the Elderly’s (WiSE) drive to raise vital cash this winter. WiSE wants folk to pick up their needles and knit or crochet the woolly covers, which will be used to cover Chocolate Oranges and Ferrero Roche treats at future events. Wetherby in Support of the Elderly (WiSE) is helping to fund a local culinary campaign to get kitchen-shy older men cooking. WiSE is working with Wetherby Man with a Pan (MWAP) to appeal for men over 50 to sign up for the scheme after agreeing to fund two courses starting from next year.
