A Wetherby volunteer’s personal story inspired her to support a charity memory café bringing joy to those living with dementia and their carers. Megan Gill, aged 25 from Leeds, is among an army of more than 120 volunteers who regularly give up their time to support Wetherby in Support of the Elderly (WiSE) services- including activities, transport and befriending. Ninety year old’s mammoth Roman wall trek for WiSE
A veteran walker is hiking the length of Hadrian’s Wall to raise cash for Wetherby in Support of the Elderly (WiSE). Keith Wilkinson, aged 90, aims to complete the coast-to-coast trek in just 10 days on behalf of WiSE. The 85-mile march will see walk-loving Keith take in Roman remains along his route, which covers some of the most rugged terrain in the country. WiSE trio under starters orders for mascot gold cup

A Wetherby in Support of the Elderly trio are donning crazy costumes in a bid to win the biggest prize in the mascot racing world – and raise money at for its own fundraising appeal in the process. Wetherby councillor’s donation gives WiSE café boost
A Wetherby councillor’s donation will help to sustain a much-needed charity café supporting people through the ongoing cost-of-living crisis. Wetherby in Support of the Elderly (WiSE) launched its ‘Welcome Café’ last winter to provide a warm, welcoming space for people of all ages to meet and eat. WiSE’s fundraising pledge to meet growing dementia demand
Wetherby in Support of the Elderly (WiSE) has pledged to put every penny it raises this year into expanding its support for those living with dementia and their carers following a surge in demand. WiSE has already added a new team member to create extra capacity for its popular memory café- increasing the sessions it runs from two to three a month. Now it plans to pour the money it receives from individual and corporate supporters during 2024 into expanding its support even further, after a major public consultation last year revealed three quarters of people think more local help…
